The sith left me an IM (I mean, I.M.) while I was out committing mass murder. He pointed me to nin.com, where a new teaser video had been posted. I'm so incredibly excited right now. They have listed the tracknames for Halo 19, and also name a Halo 18. But man, what really has me stoked is the teaser. If the new music sounds anything like the music in the teaser, I am going to have romantic man-love with the new albums. It totally sounds like a throwback to their industrial roots, while definitely pushing strongly forward. The pacing of the beat and morphism of the tone somehow even feel a bit like the more-is-better approach of The Fiery Furnaces, even where there are obvious genre gaps between the two bands.

I was having problems with the video link at nin.com, so here is a direct route to the teaser.

For the record, I'm sure halo 18 will actually be a single... we'll see if it comes out as an EP, though.
