Digital Rights Management (DRM) will always suck and will always be breakable for one very simple reason: Any sufficiently genius computer scientist capable of designing an infallible DRM system is fundamentally opposed to DRM and would never work on such a project.
I think this will be the case in many parallel pivacy/rights issues into the vast unimaginable future. The most advanced intellectuals will always be liberal and just. The agendas of evil men will always be executed by at best one evil genius, with a cloud of incompetent baffoons working as his or her middle management, and then by extention at the bottom there will be a painfully average, underappreciated, unmotivated drone work force. The result will always fail the evil that envisioned it.
