"Mick Mandl, owner of the U-Stop, said he had reviewed security surveillance camera video from Friday and saw four men and one woman in line when the winning ticket was sold at 3:09 p.m." (cnn story)
It's really interesting to me how often the Big Brother / Surveillance Society issues pop up these days, and how you find them in unlikely places. I think that's a sign of just how pervasive and real the problem is. Or maybe it'd be more correct to call the problem new and poorly understood. Man, if I won $300 million, I would want to remain anonymous as long as possible. I'd be seriously pissed if the surveillance tapes of me buying the ticket were in the news. So far I don't think the store has released the footage. I hope they don't.
