I wish I was making this up but I'm not.
Tulsa, Oklahoma hearthrob's Hanson are coming to "rock" the U of M and they want to do an interview AND/OR a live in-studio performance. (You know, they were like the Jackson 5 except they were Caucasian and weren't ritualistically abused by their parents. That we know of.)
Bonus points for anyone who's listened all the way through their Christmas or live CD's. (Due to a particularly hellish babysitting gig, I unfortunately know all the words to "Picture Not Available," a 7 minute emo epic about a kid who was sick on Picture Day in grade school.)
Anyways, someone will probably immediate spoil my plans as this isn't exactly our target demographic but I think this sounds like a lot of fun. If you're interested (and can pull this off without giggling) email me privately via xxxx@radiok.org

Holy crapola! Duuuuuuuuuuude, way way back in the day my Anti-Hanson website had the second oldest index date on the Alta-Vista search engine (remember those pre-Google days?). My Anti-Hanson website was even featured in E! Online! I used to get like 20,000 hits a week and the *WORST* hate mail you'd ever see.... never upset teeny-boppers.
We definitely, definitely should both interview them AND record them live. AND THEN ATTACK THEM WITH CREAM PIES! MWUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHHAHHHAHHAHAAHA

Anyway, keep me posted. If the K doesn't feel it would make sense to interview them, you could uhhhhhh let me. I'd ask amazing questions like:
"So, Taylor, you are in fact a man? Who knew!"
and
"Was it hard to deal with sucking globally rather than just in Tulsa when 'Mmm, Bop' broke though the charts?"
and, of course,
"I got an email from you guys once. Was that really you? What did you think of my website?"
Ok, I might need pie men, escape-car drivers, and so on. Who's in?
